take five: maki squarepatch

Maki Squarepatch has been all ove lately. I’ve seen them featured on a buncha of blogs, both for their design and their eco-friendliness. They use recycled clothing to make bags and all sorts of cute stuff. Xin of the sister team took a minute (or five! that’s cheesy, sorry) just for me! She’s the one […]

sudarinya dress

This is one sexy dress. I would probably more wear it as a top than anything else, but should the right mood come along, it’d pretty hot for a date night. ($75)
Get it.

faveur tee

Sometimes, you jsut need a good graphic tee. I really like this print. It’s kind of sweet and punky at the same time. ($19)

miss gina clutch by mabel

I first saw Mabel bags at IndieShopping, one of my favorite other indie bloggers.
The bags they make are great, a good mix of big and stylish. My favorite is this Miss Gina Clutch, which  has a great big bow and a metal heart for you to hold onto. How sweet is that? ($50)

ashley watson leather wallet

This wallet by Ashley Watson is made from that one 80’s leather jacket that you donated to Goodwill. OK, well, not for positive, but it’s bade from recycled vintage leather and it’s awfully cute. ($90)

scarflettes at iona loyola

These little scarflettes are as cute as a scarf, but not as cumbersome with all the winding around your neck. They’re handmade and have a big antique button to keep it secure. There’s a host of cute colors, but I like this simple brown. (Price not listed)

halloween costumes at etsy

ohmigosh. I am not really in the business of writing about kid’s stuff here, but the people over at Storque, Etsy’s awesome new blog, have written about sushi. Not raw dead fish, but sushi costumes. For babies. What more can you ask for?
Check out the post.

designer showcase: house of dagmar

I ran across House of Dagmar today and thought I’d showcase a couple of looks from their collection for this fall. It’s utterly gorgeous.

About House of Dagmar: It’s a swedish label, run by three sisters. It launched in 2005 and has been doing pretty well ever since. They only have a women’s line.

The look: Lots […]
