petticoat bag

Pssst, this bag has a secret for you!
“Not only do I fit just about everything and anything you want to toss in me, but I’ve got a secret pocket. Underneath my ruffly petticoat, I’ve got a pocket for you to stash your goodies. Favorite candies everyone steals? Got ‘em. Not quite as much of a […]

query: got a store you love?

but I do not know about?
I’m on the hunt for some new stores and designers right now, especially storefronts. It seems like a lot of indie stores have been closing down and I want to find some good replacements.
Tell me what you know, dear readers.

transtion season: stock up on basics

More transition talk. Now is the time to og get yourself some winter basics for next year.
I should really listen to myself here, because I’ve been wearing the same black mock turtleneck from Express (before they got all icky) for years. It’s pilled and torn in spots, but it’s that perfect type of clingy where […]

transition pieces: lightweight sweater

It’s that time of year where spring is not quite here and winter had not quite let her grip go just yet. It’s time for transition pieces.
This light sweater makes for good layering and is cute enough to wear on it’s own. When it’s warmer, it’ll stand it’s own ground.
Made by Gentle Fawn. Available in […]

glitter jumper

I was cruising cut+paste when I spied this cute little jumper. I’m usually against jumpers because they can honestly look pretty juvenile, depending on how you wear them, but this one is so cute. I can see it with a button down shirt underneath. Michele Lau’s other jumpers on Cut+Paste is already sold out, so […]

a dress like a mullet

You know that saying they have about mullets? Business in the front, party in the back? Well, if the mullet were a dress, this would be it. A seemingly simple tunic-style dress in the front turns around to reveal layered, slightly ruffled brightness in the back.
Sizes petite to large. $262.

lorick country dress

Ah, dresses that are coats and coats that are dresses. Such a great idea. Lorick makes this pretty coat/dress. I like the flap (for lack of a more technical term) on the front and the simple cut of the coat otherwise. Spring rains are coming soon, you might need this.
Size 6 only (I know, that […]

strapless dress with garden flowers

Built by Wendy’s Spring collection is pretty cute, if I do say so myself. There’s a yellow polka dot bustier I’ve got my eyes on and this dress, which is vintage-inspired. Sweetheart necklines are so pretty, and look rally good layered.
Sizes extra-small to medium. In green and purple. ($256)
Get it at Built by Wendy.
