about my fashion week coverage

Sparse as it is, I wanted to say something about Fashion Week coverage in general. I love Fashion Week, it makes me all giddy inside. And as I said, I’ve never covered it before. In the past for All That & A, I’ve pulled images a couple few times, but never sat down and tried to cover it day by day.

I am a fashionista compared to most of my friends. I know lots of designers, I know their general aesthetic. But I promise you I will never be one of those people that says “this season reminds me of Armani 1978, when they had that one gown that was just fierce.” I will comment on overall trends in the fashion world, but my frustration as a reader has always been that fashion snob. I do have lots of respect for writers and bloggers that know a ton about every designer and their history. After all, for some of us, it’s our job to know the trivia.

I do hope in the future that I’ll be able to give you better coverage, with more up-to-the-minute shots and commentary.

Now that that’s out of the way, back to the clothes.
