My friends over at Makool Loves You have started making the switch to green fabrics, which makes me a happy urban hippie. The start of their locally-produced green shift is this hemp jacket, which I think is adorable and is made with vintage buttons. How awesome. ($160)

Made out of vintage t-shirts this party dress is attractive and easy to care for. Each one is one-of-a-kind and perfect for that urban party this weekend. Lookit the pretty pettycoat that the model has on underneath. The whole thing is simply adorable. ($300)

Nicole Bridger once created OQOQO for Lululemon, but now she’s working on her own. This shirt, with it’s hand-printed librarian feel, is simply gorgeous. The best thing is she makes everything ethically, with sustainable materials. ($154)

How old-world Hollywood glam! This thin blouse is by mislle, who is totally sweatshop free. This is one of the reasons I love indie design. When you’re not concerned with the masses, you can be responsible. ($110)

A little bit of green for today. I love this shrug from Undesigned. It’s got a simplicity that will let you go from work to play pretty easily. The best part? It’s made from recycled t-shirts. ($82.50)
