good idea: savvy circle
![]()
I’d been waiting until I could try this site out to post about it, but I thought it was worth posting, then later doing a review.
Savvy Circle is a nifty tool for bargain shoppers. I know we do indie style here, but not everything I own is indie and you just can’t escape the mainstream sometimes.
How it works
Savvy Circle, like many web services these days, is a plug-in. You’ll download a plug-in for our Firefox (which is the only real web browser to use anymore) and go shopping. There’s about a bajillion sites that have partnered with Savvy Circle, from American Apparel to Target to tobi.
When you find an item you love, click the little Savvy Circle icon and it’s added to your shopping list. When that items goes on sale, Savvy Circle will tell you.
A quick glance
I’ve only used it for a few minutes, but it’s a great idea, akin to Shop it to me, but more personalized. I can only hope there are more partners in the future.
I do wonder if this takes in account site-wide sales and coupon codes. It would be a hefty thing for SC to do, but it’s a good idea and possibly a next step.
From what I can tell it’s a simple service that you wish you’ve always had.
