(This is a guest post from Jacqueline of the awesome Fashionable Kiffen. Her personal blog is also here.)
Chicago designer Orlando Espinoza draws inspiration from the city around him – the iconic skyline and impressive architecture have clearly influenced his sculptural creations, which are clean, sleek, and never over-embellished.

His most recent collection, fall/winter 2008, consists of slim dresses, tops, and pencil skirts in urban shades of pewter, charcoal, black. Orlando tends to work in neutrals, with matte jersey, satin, and sueded silk as signature fabrics. Most of his pieces are deceptively simple – they might appear to be quite plain on the rack, but put them on and you’ll be transformed into a slinky siren. They are perfect for glamorous city girls who want a little black dress that is anything but basic.

You can purchase his designs at the Second City Store or Studio-808.com, or head to www.orlandoespinoza.com for more details.
